Biological diversity is essential for life on earth. Genetic diversity is the foundation for evolutionary change and species survival. Diversity in appearance enriches the world. In this talk, Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Biology, Roger Hangarter, will examine the importance and beauty of diversity, and DEI, using the common toad (Anaxyrus americanus) as the backdrop.
